E.P.G.P Empty E.P.G.P

Concept:

EPGP, from our experience, is an amazing balanced looting system. It fair for both veteran players and new recruits, those who play often and those who are less frequent. It may sound confusing as I describe it, but in practice it's retardedly simple. Just get the EPGP Addon from here and you'll always be able to check your position.

How EPGP Works

In EPGP, you gain EP (Effort Points) as you kill bosses, similar to how you would gain DKP in a DKP system. However, when it comes time to loot the boss, you don’t spend your EP on the gear. Instead, you gain GP (Gear Points).

Each item has its own GP value which is a function of item level (ilvl) and slot. It does not consider how much of an upgrade it is for you personally, and it does not consider the stats. The reason it does not consider these things is because the budget each item has for stats is reflected in its ilvl. Even though some 213 trinkets are clearly better than other 213 trinkets, it’s really a matter of preference and adding that level of consideration would make the system far too subjective.

Each person then has a PR (Priority Rating) where PR = EP / GP.

Finally, the person with the highest PR gets first dibs on the item. The winner then gains the GP value for that item and consequently falls down the list. The more effort you put in before getting gear, the shorter your fall down the list will be.
Priority Rating = Effort Points / Gear Points.

Note: You can see your EP and GP values in your officer note ingame. You can simply do EP/GP to see your PR. However, downloading the EPGP addon is the best way to see where you fall in comparison to other guildies.

Eclipse Twist:

1.) We all have one EPGP list but may spend points on any toons, alt or main in the guild.

2.) All EP earned while you are on an alt will be added to your EP Pile.

3.) You will choose a main spec for all toons, no matter what spec you come to raid as. You will ONLY be allowed to use your priority to get items of your main spec.

4.) If no one needs for MAIN SPEC, then it will go to OFF-SPEC. Off-spec costs 0G.P.

5.) All BOE items will go to the Guild Bank. To fund future repairs.
